The original artworks created by Tudor Humphries in collaboration with Walker Books, for Animals at Risk, the classic series about endangered species: Tiger; Seal; Eagle; Elephant; Panda and Whale.

The original watercolours from which the brilliant Animals at Risk series is illustrated are now for the first time available for sale in this gallery.

In his own words:"I was born in 1953 and spent my childhood constantly drawing or lost in books, obsessed with mythology and aircraft. An odd mix but one fed my imagination while the other developed my drawing skills. I trained as a costume and set designer for the theatre and was deeply influenced by the lighting and drama of theatre productions which I wanted to reflect in the way I painted.As soon as I qualified I returned to my first love, books and moved 30 years ago to the rural backwater of North Devon ... I spend as much time as possible out in the landscape, lookinfg for wildlife, drawing deep inspiration fronm the natural, atmospheric world around me. I've also always worked with and for children..."
